Chip Swap 07 BMW 328i DME MSV80.1 SOLVED

I want to to do a chip swap for a DME but wanted to confirm with members here if what I plan to do will work.
Vehicle is a 2007 BMW 328i with DME MSV80.1
It has an Infineon Tricore SAK-TC1796 on the board.
Car starts but DME has other issues from slight corrosion in separate area
I was thinking I could extract chip then place it in a used DME that is an exact match of the original DME. My buddy is able to make a stencil to reball and re-attach the chip with infrared heat system he gots at work.
My main concern is doing this enough to make the car start?
I was looking to read chip by BDM but none of the tools I have seem to cover it. I have Xprof, Carprog, FGTech and can borrow a KESS2 but older version.
I know on MSV70 it can be done with BDM but all the documents Ive looked at for programmers dont go up to MSV80. The newest version of KESS might but my friends cant update.
So will swapping the Infineon Tricore work and make the car start like original. Is there any other chips or process I should know of?

EDIT:
I was able to swap the chips from two identical DME MSV80.1 and was able to start the car no problem. I removed the Infineon chip and had to reball it. I then had my friend place the chip back on the board using his BGA reball station. If you have a BGA rework station its no problem otherwise forget it.

I have a used DME that is exact same model. I plan on removing the Tricore chip out of the current DME and placing it in the used DME.

I assume by swapping chip it will carry over the ISN and any other security and be looked at as the original. That is what I am asking here, will putting the original chip in a used module work.

Here is a link with pictures for cloning MSV70 by way of BDM. Very similar but where he made his connection there are only 10 pin connects on the MSV80 there are 12. Did not want to put active link so cut n paste in address bar and add 3 letters in front.

I read somewhere that the section of the chip where the ISN is stored is not accessible without special tools. The MSV8x chips now have security unlike the previous MSV7x chips
